Christmas Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
3/4 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. candied cherries
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, corn syrup and water.
Stir over heat until mixture dissolves.
Cook without stirring until syrup reaches light crack stage (270\u00b0).
Pour syrup slowly over egg whites. Beat constantly until mixture holds its shape.
Add chopped nuts, candied cherries and vanilla.
Drop by teaspoonful onto buttered sheet.
Garnish with candied cherry halves.
