Lime Christmas Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 pkg. lemon-lime drink mix (Kool-Aid)
    2 c. hot water
    1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice, chilled
    1 (2-liter) bottle lemon-lime soda, chilled
    1/2 gal. lime sherbet
Preparation
    Combine sugar, Kool-Aid and hot water.
    Stir until dissolved. Cool.
    In punch bowl blend sugar syrup, pineapple juice and soda. Spoon in sherbet.
    Makes 22 cups.
