Butternut Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. Crisco
2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
5 large eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk (add water to make 1 c.)
2 tsp. vanilla-butternut flavor or 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. lemon and 1/2 tsp. almond
Preparation

Cream shortenings and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time; beat until fluffy.
Add flour, salt and milk alternately, ending with flour.
Fold in.
Add flavoring.
Bake in large, greased and well floured tube pan at 325\u00b0 for about 1 1/2 hours.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar when cool.
