Bananas Foster - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. butter
3 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. banana liqueur
4 bananas
1/4 c. rum
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
Preparation

Cut bananas in half lengthwise then halved.
Melt butter in a flambe pan or attractive skillet.
Add sugar, cinnamon and banana liqueur and stir to mix.
Heat for a few minutes.
Place banana quarters in sauce and saute until soft and slightly browned.
Add rum and allow to heat.
Ignite.
Allow sauce to flame until it dies out, tipping pan in circular motion to prolong flames.
Place ice cream in individual bowls.
Cover with 4 pieces of banana. Spoon hot sauce over top and serve immediately.
Serves 4. Cooking time is 8 to 10 minutes.
