Cheddar And Tortilla Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic
    2 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
    2 tsp. ground cumin
    1 tsp. cayenne
    3 c. chicken broth
    3 plum tomatoes, diced
    1/2 c. tomato sauce
    6 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/4 c. scallions
    tortilla chips
Preparation
    Saute onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons oil.
    Add chicken, cook until browned.
    Stir in cumin and cayenne pepper.
    Cook 1 minute. Add chicken broth, tomatoes and tomato sauce.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
