Callahan'S Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 lb. carrots, cleaned and grated
    1 c. chopped nutmeats
Preparation
    Mix together sugar, eggs and oil.
    Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
    Add to the sugar mixture; blend well.
    Add grated carrots and chopped nutmeats. Mix together thoroughly.
    Pour into two greased 9-inch layer cake pans.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool before frosting.
