Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (butter or margarine)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs thoroughly.
    Blend flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt and stir in.
    Roll dough in 1-inch balls and roll in mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
    Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes. They will puff up a lot at first, then flatten out.
    Makes about 6 dozen.
