Jamaican Shrimp And Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 rashers bacon, sliced
1 oz. oil
1 onion, chopped
2 lb. fresh shrimp, shelled
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 sweet pepper, diced
3 slices hot pepper, chopped
1/4 tsp. thyme leaves
salt
black pepper
2 c. rice
2 c. water
Preparation

Dice the bacon and fry pieces until they are translucent but not dry.
Add the oil, onion and raw shrimp. Stir well until shrimp are pink. Stir well to make sure that all ingredients are well coated with oil.
Add the rice, then pour in the water.
Stir again. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat.
It should be ready in about 30 minutes.
