Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
about 20 large marshmallows, cut in half

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar, beating well.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine next 4 ingredients, mixing well.
Add to creamed mixture, beating well. Stir in flavoring.
(Dough will be stiff.) Chill dough at least 30 minutes.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
Place a marshmallow half on top of each. Bake 2 more minutes.
Cool and frost.
