Frosty Date Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
    1/3 c. confectioners sugar
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    dash of salt
    2/3 c. chopped pitted dates
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream butter
    and confectioners sugar; stir in 1 tablespoon water and
    1
    teaspoon
    vanilla.
    Add
    flour and dash of salt; mix well.
    Stir
    in
    chopped dates and chopped walnuts. Roll in 1-inch
    balls.
    Place
    2 1/2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake
    in
    a
    slow oven (300\u00b0) for about 20 minutes, or until
    cookies
    are
    set
    and not brown.
    While warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
    Makes about 2 1/2 dozen.
