Rum Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. pkg. vanilla wafers, crushed fine
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    2 Tbsp. Karo syrup (dark)
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. or more as needed to moisten: rum, brandy or Southern Comfort
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Mix Karo syrup into rum to dissolve. Stir into dry mixture.
    Mix well.
    Coat hands with additional confectioners sugar and form into balls.
    Roll balls in powdered sugar and store in refrigerator until ready to serve.
