Chicken Tetrazzini - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) broiler-fryers
    2 onions
    1/4 tsp. pepper and salt
    water
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. spaghetti
    1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    paprika
    1/2 c. dry sherry (optional)
    1 c. half and half
    1 (3 oz.) jar grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In 8-quart saucepot, place chickens, 1 onion, pepper and 1 tablespoon salt.
    Cover with water over high heat; heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer chickens for 30 minutes or until fork-tender.
    Remove chickens to large bowl.
