Potato Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    2/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. mashed potatoes
    1 c. scalded milk
    2 eggs, well beaten
    6 to 7 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
    Add shortening, sugar and salt.
    Add mashed potatoes to scalded milk.
    When cooled, add the yeast.
    Mix thoroughly and add eggs.
    Stir in enough flour to make a stiff dough.
    Put in refrigerator for a couple of hours or overnight.
    When ready to make rolls, punch down dough, form into rolls and let rise 2 1/2 hours.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
    Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
