Raised Donuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 c. milk, scalded
2/3 c. shortening
1 Tbsp salt
1/2 cake yeast
4 c. flour
Preparation

Let milk cool to lukewarm. Take 1/2 c. of the cooled milk and to this add 1 tsp sugar and 1/2 cake yeast. Add the rest of the milk. Then add sugar, shortening, eggs and salt which has been beaten together. Add 4 c. flour for soft dough. Fry in deep fat.
