Cabbage Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage, shredded
    1/2 stalk celery, chopped
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. vinegar
    2 medium red peppers or 1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 1/2 to 3 tsp. celery seed and mustard seed
Preparation
    Sprinkle cabbage with salt and let stand for 1 hour.
    Combine sugar, water and vinegar and boil for 5 to 10 minutes and cool. Add celery seed, celery and peppers to cabbage; mix well with sugar mixture.
    Chill.
