Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions
    3 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 tsp. salt
    1 can tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    2 green peppers, cut fine
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook onion and green peppers slowly in Crisco until onions are soft.
    Add ground beef and saute until mixture falls apart.
    Add tomatoes, rice and seasonings.
    Arrange in large covered dish and bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    May add carrots.
