Corn Chowder With Ham - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
3/4 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. chopped celery
3 Tbsp. flour
17 oz. cream-style corn
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. thyme
2 c. diced ham
1 1/2 c. diced potatoes
3 c. milk
Preparation

Melt butter over medium heat.
Add onion and celery and cook for 5 minutes.
Stir in flour and cook over low heat, stirring constantly for 1 minute.
Gradually stir in milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and smooth.
Stir in creamed corn, potatoes, pepper and thyme.
Cover and simmer until potatoes are done, stirring occasionally.
Add ham and cook 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.
Serves 6.
