Cookie Jar Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. light molasses
    granulated sugar
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients and set aside.
    In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar together.
    Stir in egg and molasses until well mixed.
    Blend in dry ingredients.
    Form dough into small balls.
    Roll tops only in granulated sugar.
    Place on ungreased baking sheets.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Makes about 3 dozen.
