Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dark baking molasses
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. hot water
    4 c. flour
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 c. dark brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix flour, shortening, brown sugar and salt.
    Set aside 1 cup for crumbs.
    Mix liquid ingredients and add to flour mixture. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle 1 cup crumbs on top. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
