Sunshine Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. cake mix or made from scratch
    1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
    1 c. coconut
    2 c. Cool Whip
    maraschino cherries (if desired)
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Bake cake in a 9 x 13-inch pan according to directions. Soften cream cheese.
    Mix pudding according to directions.
    Beat cheese and pudding together. Stir in pineapple and 1/2 cup coconut. Spread mixture over cooled cake.
    Spread Cool Whip over all. Sprinkle the rest of coconut over all.
    Decorate with the cherries and nuts.
