Chicken-Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. rice (long grain)
    2 c. water
    3 c. diced chicken, cooked
    1/2 lb. process American cheese, shredded
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion
Preparation
    Cook rice in 2 cups water until almost tender (about 12 to 14 minutes).
    Combine rice with remaining ingredients, stirring well. Spoon mixture into a buttered casserole.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
