Sara'S Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. crushed pineapple, partially drained
4 c. frozen strawberries, thawed (juice and all)
6 to 8 bananas
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 large box instant vanilla pudding
1 large Cool Whip
1 box white or yellow cake mix
Preparation

Mix cake, following directions on box. Bake in 2 (9-inch) pans. When cool, cut each layer in two, making four layers. Mix in the following order in a large punch bowl: One layer of cake (crumbled), sliced bananas, 1 cup pineapple and 1 cup strawberries. Repeat, using another layer of cake. Once 2 layers are done, sprinkle with 1/2 of pudding mixture and 1/2 of Cool Whip. Repeat, using the other 2 layers of cake. Top with rest of pudding mixture and Cool Whip. Put nuts (chopped) on top and cherries, if desired.
