1 c. Wesson oil
2 c. sugar
5 whole eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 can flaked coconut
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar together; add one egg at a time and beat well.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Add buttermilk and flour alternately and mix well.
Add coconut flavoring and coconut.
Bake in a stem pan at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
