Lemon Fluffy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin
    1 c. hot water
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk, chilled
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. crushed vanilla wafers
Preparation
    In a bowl, dissolve gelatin in hot water. Add the sugar and lemon juice.
    Mix well and chill until slightly congealed. Beat the chilled milk at high speed until very fluffy, adding the salt while beating. Slowly fold the milk into the slightly congealed gelatin until well mixed. Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with vanilla wafers. Turn the gelatin mixture into the pan over the wafer crumbs and chill thoroughly.
