Meat Loaf In A Potato Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce with mushrooms
    1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 small clove garlic, crushed
    3 potatoes, pared and cut in 1/4-inch slices
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 (7 oz.) envelope brown gravy mix
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Combine beef, 1/2 cup tomato sauce with mushrooms, bread crumbs, egg, salt and garlic.
    Shape into a 7-inch round loaf in a deep 9-inch pie plate.
    Overlap potatoes in a ring around loaf; sprinkle with onions.
    Combine remaining tomato sauce, gravy mix and water.
    Pour over meat and potatoes.
    Bake at 375\u00b0
    for 1 hour.
    Cover with foil and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer.
    Spoon off fat if necessary.
    Serves 4.
