Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. white flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. butter
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. raisins
2 Tbsp. caraway seed
1 Tbsp. butter, melted
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Cut in butter until it is the consistency of peas.
Add buttermilk, raisins and caraway seed and stir until combined.
Gather into a ball.
Knead on a lightly floured surface for 1 minute.
Roll into a ball, pat down and shape into one round, flat loaf.
Brush with butter.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
With sharp knife, cut large crosses deep into dough.
Bake 35 minutes.
