Vienna Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 large egg yolks
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 (10 oz.) jar jam
    1 c. or more chocolate chips
    4 egg whites
    2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine 1 cup margarine at room temperature and 1/2 cup sugar.
    Work until creamy and mixed well.
    Beat in the salt and egg yolks.
    Add flour and knead with fingers until smooth.
    Pat dough evenly into a 12 x 17-inch pan.
    Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in pan in heated 350\u00b0 oven until lightly browned.
