Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. granulated sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 1/3 c. salted peanuts or coconut
4 tsp. unsalted butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

In a large pot with tight lid combine sugar, syrup and water; cover pot and cook on high heat.
Takes 5 minutes to boil.
Place candy thermometer heat 230\u00b0; add peanuts or coconut.
Stir with metal spoon.
Boil to 300\u00b0; takes about 20 minutes.
Remove from heat; add butter, vanilla and baking soda.
Stir.
Cool 1 hour. Crack and serve.
