Cabbage Patch Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. finely shredded cabbage
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
    1 can tomatoes with juice
    2 c. water
    1 can red kidney beans
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. pepper
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Melt margarine; add ground beef, stirring, until browned and crumbly.
    Add onion and celery; stir often for five minutes. Break up tomatoes with spoon and add to meat.
    Add water, beans and seasonings.
    Bring to boil.
    Add cabbage.
    Reduce heat and simmer until cabbage is tender.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
