Chicken And Pastry - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 chicken, cut up, washed thoroughly inside and out at least twice
salt and pepper to taste
self-rising flour
shortening
water
Preparation

Cook chicken in a medium to large stock pot.
Season to taste. When chicken boils, start timing 20 to 30 minutes, checking with clean fork to see if tender (fork should slip through meat's thickest part easily).
Do not cook on high.
Chicken could easily boil over.
If chicken boils over, cut heat down immediately and tilt lid.
