Honey Cake From Egypt - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. honey
    2 eggs
    1 c. whole-wheat flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. mace
    1/3 c. chopped dates
    1/4 c. chopped nuts (walnuts)
Preparation
    Blend together butter and honey. Beat until fluffy. Beat in eggs. Mix together 1/2 teaspoon each cinnamon, nutmeg and mace, chopped dates or raisins, nuts and whole-wheat flour. Add to honey mixture.
    Pour into lightly oiled baking pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes. When cool, cut into 12 strips.
