Okra Goulash - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 slices bacon
1 medium onion, chopped
2 c. sliced fresh okra
1 1/2 c. corn, cut from cob
4 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. sugar
1/3 c. Pepperidge Farm bread crumbs
Preparation

Fry bacon in a large skillet until crisp.
Remove bacon, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings in skillet.
Crumble bacon and set aside.
Cook onion in drippings over medium heat, stirring constantly until tender.
Add okra and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add corn, tomatoes, salt, pepper and sugar.
Cover and simmer about 10 minutes.
Pour in buttered baking dish and sprinkle with the bread crumbs and bacon.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
