Microwave Asparagus Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 medium potato, peeled and diced
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1 (8 oz.) can minced clams
    1 lb. asparagus
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Melt 1 tablespoon butter in deep casserole for 30 seconds in the microwave. Add onion and cook 2 1/2 minutes or until limp. Stir in the potato and 1 cup of the water. Drain the clam broth into casserole (reserving clams).
    Cover and cook 6 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
