Chinese Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 c. olive oil
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 c. water
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 clove garlic, sliced thin
2 large tomatoes, peeled and cut in 1-inch cubes
1 lb. sirloin, cut in diagonal thin pieces
Preparation

Pour soy sauce and sugar over meat.
Marinate for 1/2 hour. Heat oil in skillet.
Add ginger and garlic; cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Discard garlic.
Add meat and liquid.
Saute about 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes, pepper and cornstarch, blended with water. Cook gently, about 5 minutes.
Serve over plain rice.
Serves 4.
