Butter Pound Cake - cooking recipe

5 eggs
1 lb. margarine or butter, softened
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
3 c. plain flour
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Prepare tube or Bundt pan by greasing and flouring.
Cream together eggs, butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add baking powder, salt and vanilla extract.
Cream. Add flour and milk alternately, beating well after each addition. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake pulls away from pan slightly and pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool on wire rack 10 minutes before turning out.
Serves 30 easily.
