Elegant Crab - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 slices buttered bread
2 cans crab meat, drained or 2 c. chicken
2/3 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 small green pepper, chopped
3 c. milk
4 beaten eggs
1 can undiluted mushroom soup
1/2 lb. grated cheese
Preparation

Place half of bread, broken in pieces, to cover bottom of 4-quart deep casserole.
Mix crab, mayonnaise, onion, celery, pepper and salt to taste.
Spoon over bread and top with remaining bread.
Mix egg and milk and pour over casserole.
Refrigerate 12 hours.
One and one-half hours before serving, put in oven for 15 minutes.
