Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. peeled, cubed potatoes
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can ready to serve chicken broth
    1 c. milk
    1/8 to 1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. butter
    3 to 4 Tbsp. instant mashed potato flakes
    thyme sprigs (garnish)
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients in a large pan.
    Bring to boil; cover and reduce heat.
    Simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
    Add milk and next 4 ingredients.
    Gradually add potato flakes; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thoroughly heated.
    Garnish with thyme sprigs, if desired, and serve immediately.
    Makes 3 1/2 cups.
