Mock'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 egg
    2 to 3 Tbsp. melted shortening or bacon grease
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients into bowl; add buttermilk and egg.
    Mix. Heat iron skillet or pie pan with shortening or bacon grease. Pour heated grease into mixture and mix well.
    Pour entire mixture into hot skillet or pan.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until done (20 to 25 minutes).
