Vegetable Beef Soup(Crock-Pot) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 2 lb. beef shanks
    1 lb. can tomatoes
    2 carrots, sliced
    3 stalks celery with tops, sliced
    2 medium onions, diced
    2 medium potatoes, diced
    3 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    4 peppercorns
    3 beef bouillon cubes
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables*
Preparation
    Put all ingredients in crock-pot.
    Stir well.
    Cover and cook on low for 12 to 24 hours (high for 4 to 6 hours).
