Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. Pet milk
    2/3 c. boiling water
    1/3 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Bring to a
    boil
    sugar,
    milk, boiling water and white Karo syrup in a very large saucepan.
    Add soda;\tbring to boil again. Add pecans.
    Stir
    constantly, continuing to firm ball stage. Remove from heat
    and beat until it thickens and loses shiny gloss.
