Ingredients

16 medium carrots, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 1/2 c. water
2 Tbsp. liquid Butter Buds
1 onion, diced
1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. dry instant beef broth
1/2 tsp. lemon peel
1/2 tsp. Sweet 'N Low brown sugar substitute
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation

In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low.
Simmer, covered, 20 to 25 minutes. With slotted spoon, remove carrots to a bowl.
Increase heat and bring to a rapid boil.
Reduce to glaze consistency.
Add carrots and coat evenly with glaze.
One 1 cup serving contains 95 calories and 0 gm fat.
