Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
pinch of salt
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour milk
2 c. rhubarb, finely diced
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a bowl, cream together the sugar and shortening. Add eggs, vanilla and salt. In second bowl, mix soda with some milk, then add 1 cup diced rhubarb. Add to sugar mixture. Blend together well.
Pour into greased and floured cake pan.
In second bowl, mix together other half of the rhubarb, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Spoon over top of cake. Bake 45 to 50 minutes.
