Easy Chess Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (18 1/2 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix
    1/2 c. margarine
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans or granola
Preparation
    Measure 2/3 cup dry cake mix; set aside.
    Combine remaining mix, melted margarine and 1 egg; stir with fork to mix.
    Press evenly into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes, or until light brown.
