Raspberry Snow Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Crisco
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    2 eggs, separated
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. red raspberry preserves
    1/2 c. coconut
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream the first 4 ingredients.
    Add yolks and mix.
    Mix in flour.
    Pat into bottom of oblong pan. Bake for 15 minutes.
    Spread hot crust with preserves; top with coconut.
    Beat whites until foamy.
    Add sugar; beat until stiff peaks form.
    Spread over coconut.
    Bake for 25 minutes.
    Makes 2 dozen bars.
