Plain Scotch Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Fold butter into dry ingredients.
    Stir in buttermilk.
    Mix well.
    Put on a floured board; pat down until 1/2-inch thick, then cut into triangles.
    Cook in electric frypan at 375\u00b0, until brown on both sides.
    Makes 8 to 10.
    Serve with butter, jams or jelly.
