Flannel Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a medium bowl, beat egg well.
    Add buttermilk and mix well. Add flour all at once and mix.
    Dissolve the 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in about 1 tablespoon of lukewarm water.
    Add to batter.
    Heat griddle to 450\u00b0 and lightly oil or grease.
    Drop by 1/4 cup on griddle.
    Bake as any other pancake.
    When bubbles form on top side and is evenly brown underneath, turn and brown the other side.
