Chocolate Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    1 c. hot, diced potatoes
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg whites
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix butter or margarine and 1 cup sugar until light.
    Add egg yolks and beat well.
    Add potatoes and mix.
    Mix milk with flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add nuts and vanilla.
    Beat egg whites until dry but not stiff.
    Gradually add 1/2 cup sugar and beat until stiff. Fold into mixture.
    Pour into two greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool and top with
    your favorite frosting.
