Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. sliced cucumbers
2 qt. sliced onion
2 chopped green sweet peppers (if you want peppers in it)
1 c. salt
5 c. sugar
5 c. vinegar
2 tsp. mustard seed
2 tsp. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation

Let cucumbers, onion, peppers and salt stand 3 hours in salt water.
In large pan, put sugar, vinegar, mustard seed, celery seed and turmeric; let all this come to a hard boil.
Put all this, cucumber, onions and peppers in this.
Let cook until tender, then can in jars and seal.
Take out of salt water, then put it in mixture to boil.
