Easter Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. flour (add more if needed)
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. butter
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 pt. warm milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 yeast cakes (fresh)
    1/4 c. raisins, soaked in hot water
Preparation
    Put sugar, butter, eggs, milk, salt and yeast cake in a saucepan; heat (do not boil) until warm and yeast is dissolved. Pour into flour; knead dough until it comes away from pan (add raisins, if desired).
    Cover; put in warm place.
    Let raise until double in bulk.
    Punch down; let raise again.
    Grease pan and fill halfway.
    Let set 1/2 hour.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
