Baked Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. white navy beans (dry) or large butter beans (dry)
5 c. water
1/4 lb. bacon, cut in small pieces
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 Tbsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar or 1/4 c. brown sugar and 1/4 c. dark molasses
1/4 c. catsup
1/4 c. chili sauce
Preparation

Place clean beans in water. Bring to a boil in heavy pot. Add next 6 ingredients. Stir well. Lower heat to simmer. Place bacon on top. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours. Add small amount of water occasionally, if needed. Serves 4 to 6.4
